Surgical Oncology

PAs in Surgical Oncology function as specialty physician assistants under the direction of a licensed Oncology Surgeon to manage all aspects of pre-, intra- and post-operative care.

Job QualificationsHighly technical and demanding skills are mastered through years of physician assistant practice, master degree and post-graduate critical care residency.
Duties & Responsiblities
  • Collects and assesses medical histories
  • Performs physical examinations and diagnostic tests
  • Assists surgeons in the OR with surgical procedures
  • Enables continuity of care by managing patient care in pre-, intra- and post-operative settings
