Physician Assistants in Transplant Surgery

Transplant surgery

Surgical PAs work as an integral part of transplantation services from coast-to-coast. Surgical PAs function are both pre-, intra-, and post-op. PAs are important for helping patients understand the complexities of transplantation, and PAs help to assure that patients understand the medical regimen and correct follow-up. PAs are fully trained to assist in the OR during transplant surgery as well.
